Preparing a research proposal for entry to Master of Engineering Science

The application form for entry to Master of Engineering Science (Research) at Monash University requires the attachment of a research proposal. This statement does not have to be detailed – we do not expect you to have completed significant work on a topic before you start your Masters program. There will be plenty of time to research the literature and refine your topic in consultation with your supervisor once you have commenced the program. What is required at this stage is a broad expression of interest so that we can determine whether we have an appropriate supervisor working in that area and can put you in touch with them.

Here are some guidelines for preparing your research proposal
