The Monash International Students Ball was held on the 15th August 2008 at the Hilton on the Park. All the Monash International Student Organisations (ISOs) came together to organise this major event.
The Faculty of Engineering sponsored 8 high achieving international students to attend the event in recognition of their hard work and consistently high results. Mohidus Samad Khan, one of our postgraduate students made these comments:
“The Engineering Faculty took a great initiative to introduce a few of us to the MIS Ball, which was a good opportunity to forget all our stresses and enjoy the colours of life. The event was very colourful with the participation of staffs, students and alumni on the same platform. The lively participation of students from different cultures and countries enhanced the glamour of the night. Taking part in the event was really a wonderful experience. A BIG thank you to the Engineering Faculty. As a PhD student we spend most of our time in the labs with strenuous experiments or in front of computers searching relevant journal papers for any new concepts. Any recognition of our effort always lessens the stress and highly encourages us to devote our best for the research.
