RESEARCH INTERESTSDr. Lapovok's research interests include:
Dr. Lapovok is a leader of NanoSPD Group (http://www.nanospd.org/) and several projects on processing and properties of Light Alloys by ECAE. Her original ideas resulted in design and manufacture of an unique Equal Channel Angular Extrusion machine with controlled back-pressure which has found a high valuation at the NATO workshop in 1999 and at the 2nd International Conference on Nanomaterials by SPD. Dr. Lapovok is a member of Australian Forging Group (AFG) and American TMS society. Prior joining Monash University (2004) she worked in CSIRO on several projects for forging industry and consulted the forging companies associated with AFG. She has also worked on projects on aluminium and magnesium alloys for CAST CRC. Projects on ECAE of light alloys include:
