RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Laure Bourgeois' research interests revolve around the characterisation and modelling of nanometre-scale structures. The main characterisation tool used is high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Current work focuses on the following topics:
  • Crystallography of solid-state nuclei in precipitation-hardened aluminium alloys.
  • Synthesis and structural characterisation of graphitic nanostructures.
