Dr Bob Carr - NanoSight, UK![]() Category: Seminar For: Undergraduate students, Postgraduate students, HDR, Secondary schoo 19 November 2009 10am - 3pm Room E7, Building 72, Clayton campus Particle & Surface Sciences Pty Ltd and The Department of Chemical Engineering Presents a seminar by guest speaker Dr. Bob Carr *ALL WELCOME* Dr Bob Carr, Chief Technical Officer and Founder of NanoSight previously worked for 20 years at the leading government research establishment, Porton Down, in Wiltshire, UK before founding NanoSight in 2002/3 to exploit his knowledge in applications of nanoparticle analysis in the biosciences, medical and environmental sectors.. Originally trained as a microbial biochemist, his background is in Bio-detection Techniques employing laser-based dynamic scattering and flow-cytometric techniques as well as fibre-optics optics and Micro and Nano-systems leading to a 150+ publications, patents, etc. With extensive experience in international collaborative research projects at Government and industrial levels, his current interests include novel Single Nanoparticle detection techniques for application in the biotech and industrial chemical sectors.
