Notebook and wireless area

ECMS provides some areas for portable computers, G13 and G17 of building 60, Clayton.

The portable computing areas are equipped with power points and have wireless network coverage.

To access the wireless network, you must complete the following checklist.

  1. Make sure you have an authcate account. This is the username and password that you use to access all Monash university computer resources including student labs and email.

  2. Your notebook supports wireless network connections and the software drivers are installed.

  3. Ensure your network card is registered. This can be done via the following website http://addhost.its.monash.edu.au/cgi-bin/register. (The wireless network may remain invisible to your computer for up to an hour after a successful registration. This is a ‘once only’ process).

  4. Make sure you have installed the VPN client software. The VPN software is available at: https://secure.monash.edu/its/vpn/
