Computers and labs

ECMS operates three different types of computer setup.

  1. Lab computers - designed for teaching and genernal studies use. The lab computers are generally equipped with the latest state of the art hardware and have most Engineering specialised software available. Refer: [Software | Hardware | Operating hours | Locations | Rules (pdf, 13kb)]

  2. Express computers - designed for quick access with 15 minute limit, standing use only. Suggested use printing, browsing WWW/Email and accessing Monash portal. Express computers are also situated in several non-computer lab areas. Refer: [Locations]

  3. Multimedia computers - equipped with A4 size flatbed image/text/film scanner, multimedia card reader and video capture/editing capabilities. Refer: [Locations]

FAQ

The computer labs precincts in building 60 (Clayton) encompass all the above types of computer setup.

In addition, a range of mono and colour A3/A4 printing is also available.

ECMS operates a service desk, which is manned during the teaching period. The lab assistant is there primarily for dealing with computer lab issues.

When service desk is unattended, specific computer lab issues may be directed to IT.Support@eng.monash.edu.au
