How to apply in 2009

UROP participation eligibility

UROP applicants need to:

  • be in either 2nd or 3rd year of a single engineering degree or 3rd or 4th year of a double degree
  • have achieved a weighted average mark of 80% or above in 2008

Application process

Applicants for UROP will be selected on a competitive basis. The process of application for UROP is as follows:

Invitation to participate

1. An email will be sent from the Manager of M.E.R.I.T program (Monash Engineering Research and Industry Training) inviting you to apply if eligible
2. Read all the information on the web site
3. Email teri.foster@eng.monash.edu.au or telephone 9905 9906 if you have questions about the program
4. Reply by email to indicate that you are interested in being involved in the program
5. Your details will be collated and assessed.

6. Have a look at the projects on offer

7. Fill in the application form and send by email to teri.foster@eng.monash.edu.au by 6th July 2009
8. Ensure that you read the participant guidelines and that you fully understand what is expected of you!

Selection

9. Each supervising academic will receive the applications related to their project and they will decide who will be interviewed.
10. If your application has been successful to this stage you will be invited to an interview with the participating academic with whom you can discuss the project in more detail.Successful students will be notified by email. An information/induction session will be held 1st July 2009, register at this link.
