Engineering first year enrolments

Congratulations and welcome to the Faculty of Engineering!

Students offered a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) should follow the instructions below. International students must enrol in person and should follow the instructions in their letter of offer.

You are invited to attend a course information session for round 1, to assist you with accepting your enrolment and completing your enrolment requirements online using the faculty's unique online course information system and the Web Enrolment System (WES). If you are unable to attend the Pre-enrolment session, or if you have received a Round 2 offer, you will be able to view much of the pre-enrolment information online (see round 2 and course information online).

Accepting your offer

After you have attended the course information session (Round 1) or viewed the course information material online (Round 2) there are five steps to accepting your offer.
  1. Create a Monash computer account
  2. Select your units
  3. Complete the Engineering First Year Survey
  4. Complete your online enrolment tasks
  5. Go to the enrolment centre to receive your student ID card
  6. Complete online Equal Opportunity training: Module 2 - Sexual Harassment and the Law (reading and quiz)
Please note that WES is only available for enrolments to Engineering students between 19th Jan - 27th Jan 2012.

Engineering/Science double degree students

If you are unsure whether the science units you have chosen satisfy your science course requirements or are the correct units for the science areas of study for which you would like to specialise in, or you are applying for credit for any science units, then please attend the Faculty of Science student services office after you have had your enrolment checked by us. Faculty of Science student services staff will be available to check the units that you have enrolled in via WES meet your course requirements and are the correct units that will lead you into the areas that you would like to specialise in. You will need to bring a print out of your WES transaction number and your selected units.

Credit transfer

If you wish to apply for credit transfer for previous tertiary level studies, you will need to speak to the Academic Adviser on enrolment day. Please remember to bring full details of the contents of the units studied and for which credit is being sought on enrolment day. (This information should be reasonably comprehensive. Handbook entries of two or three lines do not provide enough information on which to make a credit decision). You may continue with your online enrolment, however if you have studied enhancement subjects at Monash University you may not be able to enrol in all your selected units.

More information on enrolment can be found on the new enrolments website.
