Entry requirements for the branches
Some branches require students to meet specific academic criteria in order to be eligible to apply for entry eg you may be required to have achieved a pass grade or above in a particular unit. Branches may also have a numerical quota depending on the popularity of the branch and the number of places available to students. Information on entry requirements and whether quotas apply is available in The five branches of engineering: A brief summary (pdf 28kb).The branch selection process
In September students are sent an email from the faculty providing information on how to submit branch preferences online. Students should list three branches of engineering in order of preference by 12 October 2012.- Submit your preferences in the branch selection online form

However, if you have not passed 48 credit points at level one, you will need to attend the Faculty Office in person between 9 am and 4 pm for manual enrolment.Students enrolled in a double degree must enrol into units for the non-engineering component during the University re-enrolment period.
