Geo Engineering

The Geo Engineering Group within the Department of Civil Engineering concentrates on aspects of foundations, soil and rock mechanics, environmental geotechnics, geosynthetics, water and gas flow through soils, geosynthetics and fractured rocks, mine gas flow, geosequestration of Carbon Dioxide and all the various attributes of soils, rocks and wastes as they relate to Civil Engineering.

Besides teaching and research we are heavily involved in consulting and we have extensive laboratories at our disposal.
