"The lecturers were great and I found their knowledge and enthusiasm for the material an invaluable asset in my formative years as a chemical engineer. The facilities within the department, both for academic teaching and applied research are first class. The help we receive with vacation employment opportunities was fantastic - it made my life much easier. The many parties organised through the Chemical Engineering Student group (SMUCE) was another highlight."
My employment takes me to Virginia, USA where I am working within the core technology group heading the development of pressure swing adsorption systems for the purification of hydrogen-rich streams from our hydrogen generation modules (HGM).This position, which is based in research and development, was obtained as a direct result of my PhD performed in the Chemical Engineering Department at Monash University. The opportunity to work on a new and emerging technology that will be a key unit operation for the proposed hydrogen fuel economy is an exciting role that will provide many challenges and rewards in the coming years.
