About Faculty of Engineering

Monash Engineering Foundation

Established in 1991, the objective of the Monash Engineering Foundation is to encourage and promote excellence in education, study, teaching and research in the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University.

This includes promoting the development of excellence in selected areas of the faculty and the enhancement of the physical environment for that purpose, as well as developing new research areas and fostering closer relationships with the engineering community.

The Foundation is chaired by Emeritus Professor Peter Darvall, a past Vice Chancellor of Monash University and former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. The board of management comprises leaders of the engineering profession including alumni of the Faculty of Engineering.

The Board is committed to the objectives of the foundation and to safeguarding the intentions of donors. The funds of the foundation are well managed and applied appropriately.
